Here we are lounging on some chairs enjoying a drink at the end of the day.
The following day we took a detour. The original plan was to head directly to Crater Lake to cross country skiing, but Hannah had something in mind. First we headed to the Tufa's at the southern end of Mono Lake. I've never seen anything like it.
Then we headed to Mammoth Mountain. What an amazing mountain. The massive amounts of snow with sunshine made the whole experience even more amazing.

Next stop... hidden hot springs to soak the aching bones after riding. A little local knowledge helps to find the hidden treasures.

The next morning we woke up and went to Crater Lake. The deepest lake in the U.S. We lucked out with another beautiful day. Weather around this lake tends to be overcast so it was amazing that we caught it on a day like this day.

Prior to us our visit the access road was closed due to excessive amounts of snow fall. We ended up making our own tracks which is a lot of work on the legs, but exciting non-the-less.
